The Dog Bar
Being an Australian, Jimmy is a fan of every sport you could imagine (except, perhaps, Vietnamese cock fighting!) If there is a big game going on anywhere in the world and you want to watch it, make a beeline to the Dog Bar. As a matter of fact there is another Australian themed establishment nearby, it is called Hop Inn (opposite Saigon Phu Quoc Resort, telephone: (84-77) 3994721). The Hop Inn is a local landmark and meeting point, and as its kangaroo sign may suggest, it is an Australian/Vietnamese style barbeque joint. Vietnamese love kangaroo kebabs, but it is not clear whether kangaroo has ever made it on to the menu at Hop Inn, or at the Dog Bar for that matter. Instead, it seems the Hop Inn is devoted to seafood, particuarly squid, fish and crabs.
